Brake fluid must be changed regularly, as it absorbs moisture over time; this can lead to reduced braking power or even brake failure. Valvoline DOT 5.1 brake fluid is suitable for disc and drum brakes, for scooters, mopeds, supermotos or maxiscooters. DOT 5.1 is not hygroscopic meaning it will absorb less water and is therefore ideally suited for extreme operating conditions (racing) and heavy brake use (stop-and-go, uphill driving).
