Especially useful for converted carburetors or intake manifolds that are not equipped with vacuum port. In most cases, the vacuum taps are then drilled through. In order to prevent the unwanted leakage of gasoline during maintenance work on the carburetor, use a fuel cock tap. Universal, diameter = 15mm.

Notes and Safety Fuel tapDepending on the type of vehicle, there are different types of fuel taps:Vacuum fuel tap: when the engine is running, a vacuum raises a valve through which gasoline flows. This valve closes as soon as the engine stops running.Fuel cock with lever: Turn the lever with normally three positions (On / Off / Reserve).Fuel cock with knurled wheel: Loosen the knurled wheel to let the fuel through.Quick lock coupler: In this case, both parts must be unclipped to cut off the fuel supply.Please note that some fuel taps are equipped with a filter.
